| Meredith's landscapes are impressionistic. Her goal is to paint viable, honest paintings while preserving the vanishing landscapes on canvas, documenting the time in which she lives. Her still life paintings are an exploration of color, texture, and composition, conveying enthusiasm for the process. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Meredith is a signature member of the California Art Club, a member of the Santa Barbara Art Association and the Santa Barbara Arts Council. Among recent honors and awards she was the featured artist at the Santa Barbara Art Walk benefitingthe Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
Meredith and her husband, Duncan Abbott, live on a working ranch in the Rincon Canyon area of Carpinteria. Her eldest child, Whitney Brooks Abbott, is a painter in her own right, a member of the Oak Group, and exhibits her work at The Easton Gallery in Montecito. |
